Skilled at helping to identify barriers that may be in the way to fullness of life, Stephanie instills hope by providing strategies to overcome barriers.
Many times an individual’s pattern of thinking, behavior, or relationships can cause sticking points. Having seen so many people over her 15+ years of practice, she is able to normalize these situations and advise from experience. Stephanie sees a spectrum of clients from young adults, newly married couples and average individuals with basic needs to government officials, pro sports players and she has been a featured therapist multiple times on the The Learning Channel (TLC) show “My 600-lb Life.”
Stephanie holds a Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, is a State Approved Supervisor for both Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT) Counseling Interns, and is a certified Anger Resolution Therapist. She is trained in basic Eye Movement Sensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and is a Trained Facilitator and Seminar Director of PREPARE/ENRICH, a premarital and marriage assessment. Stephanie is licensed in both the states of Texas and Virginia.
Stephanie’s graduate work specialized in the integration of both clinical psychology and spiritual theology, integrating theological principles into counseling should clients desire. Stephanie received her practicum training at an Intensive Outpatient Center in Louisiana, worked as a counselor for a Crisis Pregnancy Help Center, and counseled individuals and couples at The Houston Center for Christian Counseling for several years before serving as the Director of Counseling at the Sugar Land Vineyard Church. She now has been in private practice in Rice Village, West University, Houston, Texas.
Stephanie has been married to Jeff since 1997 and they have two young boys. Both Jeff and Stephanie are engaged in health organizations and events in and around Houston, speak regularly at workshops and retreats on wellbeing and volunteer their time to work with the leaders of businesses and organizations on their overall health.
